A Little Update....

  • Drinking: Water
Just so everyone knows, I've applied for unemployment the day I got sacked. I've also been looking for jobs online, but I haven't gone out and physically applied to any as of yet... I would, but I'm not sure as to HOW to go about applying for jobs.

I've applied to jobs in person in the past, only to be forgotten, blown off, or ignored. Very rarely did I ever get an honest answer from anyone, and that answer was something along the lines of "We're not hiring at the moment."

I know I gotta go out and find something, but whith how long it took me to find my last job, how I was treated and how long it took to find another job are fresh on my mind... I've already been turned down online, and I'm afraid I'll be blown off if I go to apply for a job in person. I just don't know what to do...

As I have well learned, the one thing you have to battle even more than anxiety during a recession is apathy. The "why do I even bother?" mentality is like a weight on your soul. But as the Dalai Lama said, and which has helped me get through some hard times, "the deep root of failure in our lives is to think, 'oh how worthless and powerless I am.'"

In other words, do whatever you have to to get your motivation worked up, because if you don't try you certainly won't succeed.
